PRAY FOR PASTOR BILL: As he starts a new series that may last 6-8 weeks, on What it means to follow Jesus!
PRAY FOR FRED WILCOX: As he prepares for Graduation from Newburgh Seminary in June.
PRAY FOR DEBBIE BELL AND HER HUSBAND FRED: Debbie's operation is to remove the cancer from her thyroid is scheduled for May 31st. Keep her in your prayers and be praying for her husband Fred as well.
PRAY FOR: Eric for his work situation. His eyes are getting better, but his ears are getting worse. Please continue to pray.
PRAY: We would always keep the pulpit of the Community Christian Church Sacred and free from the Profane.

PRAISE THE LORD: For His sure PRESCRIPTION for fixing any discouragement. It is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.
PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!
PRAY FOR: The True Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin!
PRAY FOR: OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT, THEY NEED THE LORD'S HELP!!
PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. The Lighted Path
When I was about 5 years old my family lived in a small town called Tioga in northern North Dakota near Williston. I attended kindergarten there, and the class was held at a woman’s home. She had converted a portion of her home into a classroom, and there were about 15 or so other students in my class if I remember correctly. My parents had already taught me some reading, writing, and some basic arithmetic skills; putting me far ahead of my classroom peers. Needless to say, I was bored, and a bored 5-year-old is not likely to sit quietly, and I was not an exception. The teacher, not really knowing what else to do with me after trying to keep me from distracting the other children, placed me into a dark closet. Children were raised differently in the 60’s and these days such a method of discipline would surely lead to a lot of legal problems, and the assumption the child is scarred for life. I remember sitting on a box in the closet a few minutes, in the dark, not scared, but still bored. As my eyes adjusted to the dark I saw there was a pull string, and pulling it turned on the light inside the closet, and much like God proclaimed in Genesis 1:3 “Let there be light; and there was light.” Much to my delight I found there were stacks and stacks of National Geographic and other magazines, truly a proverbial gold mine of exploration lay ahead in my eyes. I don’t recall how many days I was placed into the closet before the teacher gave up or caught on, but for many days I made it a point to misbehave just enough to be sent back to the closet light and resume my readings and explorations.
Like the many people that haven’t found and accepted Jesus Christ, they continue to live their lives in spiritual darkness, much like being in a dark closet. Life goes on all around you, but you can’t clearly see the consequence of the path you are on and keep from sin.
(Psalm 119:105) “Your word is a lamp to guide me, and a light for my path.”
The life changing acceptance of Jesus Christ as your savior and your repentance of sin will lead you to salvation, and to walk in the light of Jesus Christ. With God there is no darkness at all, much like turning on the light in a dark closet and through the knowledge and understanding of His word, being able to see.
1 John 1:5-9, “(5) This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. (6) If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. (8) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Let Jesus Christ be the light of your journey, and your salvation. Through His light, illuminating the knowledge of the glory of God, to seek and have fellowship with His son Jesus and among one another, following the now illuminated path, that we may also be forgiven, and purified from our unrighteousness.
Allow the light of Jesus Christ to shine brightly in your life, to illuminate the path in your walk with Him in fellowship, and for repentance of your sins through all the days of your life.

ReplyDeleteYou are so right - Same book same teacher same Good News! When will the world have their eyes opened to see all they are throwing away.
ReplyDeleteLots of work to do. Do you ever think that Lot's wife not only looked back but perhaps started to go back as the judgment didn't fall until they came into the city?
