2nd Timothy 2:15

"The proper place for a ship to be is in the water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will sink. The proper place for the church is in the world,

BUT IF THE 'WORLD' GETS INTO THE CHURCH,

THE CHURCH WILL GO DOWN IN DISGRACE!"

"Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness...But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."-Joshua 24:14-15

Is God Calling You to be a Pastor?

The right kind of education is essential to the man who has answered God's call. No army dare send a soldier into battle without proper training. The results would be devastating, not only for the warrior, but for the war.

REFLECTING BACK

As we reflect on the events of this past week, our hearts go out to the ones who have lost loved ones:  Leona Wutzke, in the loss of her son, Glenn, and Gale and Elaine Holmes in the loss of their son.  Our hearts are saddened and reach out to them in prayer.

We are perplexed sometimes, but are thankful that the Lord Jesus Christ is never perplexed.
In 2 Cor. 1:3-4 we read, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,  Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
Romans 8:28, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes.”

Romans 8:38-39, “I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The Lord Jesus Christ loves us more than we can even love ourselves.  You must (Prov. 3:5) “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

God Bless you,
Pastor Bill & Kathy

  1. We had the joy of lifting your labors up before the Lord today Pastor Bill and Kathy...... we think of you often and only wish we could take you fishing with us.

I know your fishing is of great importance too and we pray for souls to hunger and thirst to hear the Word that they too could be born anew.

  2. Hello we haven't met, but I recently got named chaplain of my veterans organization, the Chosin Few (Korean War). I send out a lot of condolence cards as our Few get fewer. (the youngest are now 78).

We'll fly down on Oct 11th and occupy #7. I am president of the Men's Club this year with quite a big program. I am a disabled vet and make lots of trips to the VA for my ill, mostly eyesight. They want me to participate in a residential program this fall.

    See you soon, Hugh Miller
