REFLECTING BACK
As we reflect on the events of this past week, our hearts go out to the ones who have lost loved ones: Leona Wutzke, in the loss of her son, Glenn, and Gale and Elaine Holmes in the loss of their son. Our hearts are saddened and reach out to them in prayer. We are perplexed sometimes, but are thankful that the Lord Jesus Christ is never perplexed.
In 2 Cor. 1:3-4 we read, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
Romans 8:28, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes.”
Romans 8:38-39, “I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Lord Jesus Christ loves us more than we can even love ourselves. You must (Prov. 3:5) “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
God Bless you,
Pastor Bill & Kathy

We had the joy of lifting your labors up before the Lord today Pastor Bill and Kathy...... we think of you often and only wish we could take you fishing with us.
ReplyDeleteI know your fishing is of great importance too and we pray for souls to hunger and thirst to hear the Word that they too could be born anew.
The weather is letting up a bit here... praise Jesus, I work better in the cold than in the heat.

Hello we haven't met, but I recently got named chaplain of my veterans organization, the Chosin Few (Korean War). I send out a lot of condolence cards as our Few get fewer. (the youngest are now 78).
ReplyDeleteWe'll fly down on Oct 11th and occupy #7. I am president of the Men's Club this year with quite a big program. I am a disabled vet and make lots of trips to the VA for my ill, mostly eyesight. They want me to participate in a residential program this fall.
See you soon, Hugh Miller
We enjoy hearing from you. We are sorry for the residents that have lost their loved ones. See you in November. Thanks for thinking of us. Vince and Shirley Henderson
