Commandment Three - Exodus 20:7

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.”

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

2.  "You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

A Servant’s Heart

“For who is greater, the one at the table or the one serving? Isn’t it the one at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.” (Luke 22:27, CSB)

While the disciples sat at the table during the Last Supper, they began to argue about who should be considered the greatest. Jesus asked them who is greater, the one sitting at the table, or the one serving? While many will assume the person being served at the table is greater than the one serving, Jesus said He would be among those that serve, making it clear where He stood, and how one will be received into His kingdom.

The other day a friend expressed to me his disappointment he was no longer able to volunteer his time in support of the cause he had chosen. He had been faithfully doing so for many years, and now there was a void in his heart for the past opportunity.

While the opportunity to serve may no longer be available, a desire to serve will remain, longing to find other ways to serve. We sometimes call this continuing desire to serve as having a servant’s heart; where one seeks helping others and putting their needs above their own. In our efforts to serve, we must ensure our motivations to do so are done with the right motive; always placing the will of serving the Lord Jesus first. True Christian servant-hood is to serve without expectation of rewards, recognition or gratitude, serving the Lord for His glory. 

There are many ways we can serve others, serving should start in the Church, and in doing so, we will be serving in the will and the glory of the Lord. Just the act of going to church or weekly bible study is a service to Him; in doing so, you provide example and motivation to others; possibly even leading them to Christ. While attending church each week, you may become aware of opportunities to serve in ways you had not thought of before. Pray and ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance in how He would have you use the gifts and abilities He has given you, and as you seek, you will find what He desires of you.

“Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7–8, CSB)

Lord, We acknowledge and thank you for the gifts and abilities you have graciously given all of us. May the holy spirit guide our servant’s heart to best use those gifts and abilities; ultimately using them in service of your will and to your glory. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

PRAISE! VICTOR is back home recovering from a heart attack.  Continue to keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.  Pray for the family.

PRAISE/PRAY FOR: Carol, Kathy's sister. Carol is doing better.  She is in a rehab center getting stronger and receiving some physical therapy.

PRAY FOR:  Continue to pray for Todd as he serves the Lord. 

PRAY FOR:  Keep Rick in your prayers.

PRAY FOR ERIC: Continue to Pray

PRAY FOR: Please keep Fred, Debbie and the medical team in your prayers. .

PRAY FOR: Doug Beeks as he ministers through his Blue Line Ministry.

PRAY FOR: Virginia Perry who is 84 and loosing her sight.

PRAY FOR: Barbra Ruesch, who is dealing with cancer. Our dear friend Barb is the wife of our friend and CCRM Lead Chaplain Bob Ruesch.  

PRAY FOR: The many in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their backs on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT.  

PRAY THAT: All who claim to  know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we all owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE to the Lord Jesus (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY FOR ALL CONCERNED: As Pastor Bill teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2). As he teaches the Truth of God's word, and rebukes all false gospel. Pray that many would respond to the Truth of God's Word in love and truth.

SALVATION:  Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell!  You MUST, first of all:  Humble yourself and Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
