REMEMBERING 9/11/2001

Like many of you, I recall vividly where I was and what I was doing on the morning of September 11, 2001; 17 years ago today. I had the news playing on the television like most all mornings as I got ready for work. By then the first plane had already hit the tower. Not long after I watched in disbelief as the second plane struck the other tower, and then I watched in horror and shock as the towers collapsed and fell to the ground. In the coming days, reality became surreal; everything had changed. The walks I took at work during lunchtime had even changed; the sound of the jets flying overhead on approach to the airport was now absent bringing with it an eerie sense of quiet. The news was filled with stories of heroism, and with the painful grieving and loss by so many families. One thing was sure; the world was now forever changed for tens of thousands of people throughout the world, and especially for the people of the United States.

However, out of that tragedy, at least for awhile, people pulled together like had never been seen in generations, except maybe at the time of Pearl Harbor. It is during the worst of times that the greatest love, kindness, and compassion for humanity can most clearly be seen. During those times when we come to together, we are reminded of how cruel and uncaring humanity can be towards humanity, but it is also at these times we may, for a time, set aside our differences and may even feel compassion and love for  others. All the things that made us different, now, for this brief moment in time, these differences no longer seem to matter. We become one people; the people of the United States of America, yet, as Christians we know that apart from Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, it doesn't last for long.

On this day of remembrance and mourning, as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives, and for the families that lost so much, let us once again, if only for a day or two, embrace that sense of love, and unity in our nation; once again coming together carrying it forward in honor of their memories and sacrifice.

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (Mat 5:4 KJV)

May we as a Nation fall to our knees, repent of our sins, pleading with the Lord to once more bless this great nation, and it’s people.--

THE ANSWER IS: TURN BACK TO THE LORD GOD-TO FAITH-FAMILY! 

WHY REACH OUT AND MINISTER TO MEN?

• When a child is reached for Christ, 3.5% of the family will follow.

• When a mother is reached for Christ, 17% of her family will follow.

• When a father is reached for Christ, 93% of his family will follow.  (Per the Heritage Foundation)

• THE LORD S CALLING FAITHFUL MEN TO LEAD THEIR FAMILIES!

PRAY FOR: Our granddaughter Kiley, who broke her Clavicle during a high school soccer game.

PRAY FOR: The family of Michelle Perry. 

PRAY FOR: Scott Henley who broke his arm.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR: Chum and Callie in Michigan.

PRAY FOR: Fred and Sandy Wilcox 

PRAY FOR PASTOR BILL: As he continues The Word of God without Compromise!

PRAY: For Fred & Debbie.

PRAY FOR Eric: For his work situation.  His eyes are getting better, but his ears are getting worse.  Please continue to pray. 

PRAY: We would always keep the pulpit of the Community Christian Church Sacred and free from the Secular/Profane.

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill and the Leadership team of the Community Christian Church of Valley Farms to maintain a Separation between the Profane ( the Secular) and the Pure (the Spiritual) ; between the Holy and the Unholy; protecting the Sanctity and Purity of the Pulpit as the place where the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD is PROCLAIMED! 

PRAY FOR: The ones in our church who are caught up in the sin of alcohol (drinking),  and   tobacco (smoking), that they would realize the need to FIGHT, and seek the Lord's Help in being  released from this sin.

PRAY/ PRAISE: For Assistant Pastor Todd, as he continues with his studies into the Master's of Divinity program at Seminary. Give him wisdom Lord!

PRAY FOR: Wisdom for our President and his joint chiefs as they consider Syria  and their Russian threat!

PRAISE THE LORD: For His sure PRESCRIPTION for fixing any discouragement. It is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!

PRAY FOR: The True  Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  as they make their pick of a SUPREME COURT JUSTICE!  A very important decision for the nation!  

PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

PRAY THAT: All who claim to  know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY THAT:  All men who are called into the pastorate would understand the need to separate themselves from the sins of the world, to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader understanding of the LORD JESUS CHRIST & the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2).  Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAY FOR: Our Church to continue in our Teaching God's Word Without Compromise.

10.  The children must be submitted to their __________________.

11.  The family must be submitted to the eldership in the ___________ and the eldership of the church must be submitted to God.

12.  Power comes from the Greek word “Dunamis” which means ____________, ability, might, or miracle.  We get the English word “dynamite” from this word.

13.  Authority comes from the Greek word “Exousia” which means the right to act, or _______________ has been given to act.  It is the same word that we use in the church for ordained.

14.  People dedicated to God, the ones that have completely given their lives over to total submission to His will and to His way, are entrusted to operate in the _________ of the Lord.

15.  Submission comes from the Greek word “Hupotasso” which is formed from two root words: “Hupo” which means to put under, and “Tasso” which means to arrange in ________.  So Hupotasso really means to arrange in order—under.

16.  Hupotasso is a _______________ word that means to follow in rank order and is generally translated as subjection or to be in subjection to.

17.  Hupotasso has nothing to do with slavery or being in bondage.  Servant or bondsman is the ______________ word “Doulos”.

18.  Before we were saved we were servants enslaved to sin and in bondage to the ________________ of darkness.

19.  When we submit ourselves to the will of Jesus and to his ways, Christ Himself sets us _____________________.

21.  Power and authority comes from the Father, but it can’t be released in our lives until we submit and come into ___________________ to the authority the Lord God has set over us.

SALVATION:  Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell!  You MUST, first of all:  Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
