Men Prepare Sermons; God Prepares Men

2nd Timothy 2:15

"The proper place for a ship to be is in the water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will sink. The proper place for the church is in the world,

BUT IF THE 'WORLD' GETS INTO THE CHURCH,

THE CHURCH WILL GO DOWN IN DISGRACE!"

Thank you for taking the time to view our blog;we look forward to reading your comments. DVDs of our services are available upon request. We covet your prayers and friendship. In His Service and For His Glory, Pastor Bill & Kathy ...
"Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness...But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."-Joshua 24:14-15

Is God Calling You to be a Pastor?

The right kind of education is essential to the man who has answered God's call. No army dare send a soldier into battle without proper training. The results would be devastating, not only for the warrior, but for the war.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A VISION? (Part One)

The Bible speaks of two different kinds of visions. One is a supernatural encounter in which God pulls you into the spiritual realm and allows you to see extraordinary events that are about to take place, gives you a message to deliver or gives you a new assignment. Many biblical leaders such as Joseph, Jeremiah and John had these visions.

Another type of a vision the Bible speaks of may be a little less dramatic in that we are not whisked into the spiritual realm, but they are just as important. This kind of vision is when the Holy Spirit gives clear direction and understanding. These visions can be a moment of mental clarity, a revelation while we are studying the Word or in prayer. It can come through a prophetic message or simply through the Spirit speaking in that “still small voice”.-More Later.

  1. From the bulletin at the St. Ignace church:

When you enter the Jefferson memorial, you will find many references to God. A quote that runs around the interior domes says, “I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the minds of men.” One of the panels reads: “God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.”

Prayers for our country seem more urgent at each service we attend.
