A TIME OF RENEWAL

    Last week was a time for a short get-away. We made our way over to the Colorado River, crossing over into California at Parker, AZ.  With a visit to a small church in Hinkley, CA.

It was a time of renewal, …a time just to get away for prayer.

    The purpose of the church is to make disciples for Christ through our words and actions.

    The purpose of the church is: to Preach the Gospel,make sure the gospel is pure, make disciples, provide a safe place for believers.

    That time of renewal was priceless I am sure. And so needed in our nation.

    The purpose of the local church is: To spread the love and eternal salvation of Jesus Christ to those who know Him and don't know Him. (19 words)

    We have sooooo many local Churches, they all have various views, Briefly what I look for is (Yes I know it is more than 20 words)
    1. Stick to the Bible
    2. Attitude
    3. Example
    4. A meeting place,( it can be a bldg, park or field) any place where people can gather
    5. Charitable but not a Charity
    6. Money is not the motivation (Accept donations, without pressure or dues)
    7. are they growing? or stagnate, (If God is there, the Church will be growing
    8. Is everyone welcome (if so? let them know it}
    9 Beliefs on Abortions, Marriage & Homo's
    10. Is love thy Neighbor evident? or just words?
