Men Prepare Sermons; God Prepares Men

2nd Timothy 2:15

"The proper place for a ship to be is in the water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will sink. The proper place for the church is in the world,

BUT IF THE 'WORLD' GETS INTO THE CHURCH,

THE CHURCH WILL GO DOWN IN DISGRACE!"

Thank you for taking the time to view our blog;we look forward to reading your comments. DVDs of our services are available upon request. We covet your prayers and friendship. In His Service and For His Glory, Pastor Bill & Kathy ...
"Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness...But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."-Joshua 24:14-15

Is God Calling You to be a Pastor?

The right kind of education is essential to the man who has answered God's call. No army dare send a soldier into battle without proper training. The results would be devastating, not only for the warrior, but for the war.

As we head West, and into Illinois, the weather seems to

be starting to close in on us…

100_1425

A dinner meeting with Kathy’s cousin Jeff and his wife Nancy had to be postponed, as we pulled into a rest area . We watched a very heavy thunder-storm, with lots of wind, and a possible tornado pass over..

100_1430

We did make it to dinner, but, one hour late. We had a wonderful visit with Jeff and Nancy. We took advantage of the weather, to have a long visit. As enjoyable as this was, after a couple of hours, it was time to move along… On into Bloomington/Normal, Ill, about an additional 120 miles where we had motel reservations for the night.

_baptist_church)

Next morning being Sunday, we attended a Bible Church, a short distance from our motel, a Christ centered service.  After church, we headed North toward …

100_1453

… Wisconsin.

100_1471

Arriving in Menomonee Falls, for a Great visit with Kathy’s sister Carol and her husband Victor.

100_1464

Both Bryan and Maria had some serious questions regarding our ministry, Jesus and Salvation. I pray we answered most of their questions.

100_1505

Victor and Carol took us out to dinner and a concert, A small, but very good band playing music from a time past.

Victor’s cousin and his wife met us there, for a very nice outing… “Parting is such sweet sorrow,” or so says William Shakespeare, as we head out through Northern Wisconsin…

100_1513

… passing beautiful Dairy farms…

100_1528

… and into Moose and logging country of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

100_1657

…The Ministry trip continues, as we visit and share the Love of Jesus, while enjoying the South Shore of Lake Superior, until next week…

THE WORLD NEEDS JESUS THE SAVIOR!

Excerpts from His Expository of the Gospels -- J. C. Ryle

The Christianity which the world requires, and the Word of God reveals, is a useful everyday religion. It is a healthy, strong, manly plant, which can live in every position, and flourish in every atmosphere except that of sin. It is a religion which a man can carry with him wherever he goes and never need leave behind him. In the army or in the navy, at the public school or at college, in the great hospital lecture room and at the bar, on the farm or in the shop, in the market or exchange, in parliament or at court, true heaven-born Christianity will live and not die. It will wear, and stand, and prosper in any climate, in winter and in summer, in heat and in cold. Such a religion meets the needs of mankind.

The glorious company of the Apostles, the noble army of martyrs, the saints who in every age and land have made their mark on mankind and turned the world upside down,--all, all have had one common mint-stamp upon them. They have been men who lived “Looking into Jesus.”

And the object we are to look at, you will observe, is a PERSON, --not a doctrine, not an abstract theological dogma, but a living Person; and that Person is Jesus the Very Son of God.
