Pray for:  Jon Pikett We received this update from our friend.

 January 29, 2024

Greetings friends and thank you for praying.

As we head off to Israel, I wanted to pass along an update on Jon and ask that you please continue to pray for him. There has been some, albeit very little, improvement. Please pray that the chemotherapy will be effective and that his body will return to full function. We will send another update at an appropriate time in the future.

Pray for:  Missionary Deidrick Hobbs and his wife Joetta as they begin to minister in the Navajo Nation in Arizona.

Pray for: Jerry and Cheryl Turner, Missionaries, as they prepare to head for the Ukraine in June 2024.

Pray for: Israel, as she responds to the vicious attack on October 7th by this terrorist HAMAS, pray for the many military men and women as well as for the civilians, including women and children who were taken hostage by this terrorist group of thugs. Pray for the families of the many fallen on both sides. Pray that the world will fully support Israel; Pray for the peace of Israel.

Pray for: Greg and Vicky Kaiser. their son Dustin and his wife, and daughter Angel, as well as their younger son Daniel.

 

Pray for: Our grandchildren, John and Ayla and their children, as they relocate to the Nashville, TN area.

Pray for: Pastor Bill and his wife Kathy as they set out on a new adventure the Lord has called them to.

Pray for:  Pastor Bill and Kathy for health and the Lord's will as they seek His continuous leading for our life.

Pray for:  For our nation that once more we would truly be "One Nation, indivisible, under God with liberty and justice for all."  But God cannot bless sin.  We must understand that.

Pray for:  Our Churches, the Kingdom of God, that all who claim the name of Christ return to the Church.  Apart from God, politicians will never get this country back on track.  Repentance is necessary.

Pray for: Our Missionaries, as they labor for the Lord.

Pray that: It would be understood, that alone, as an individual, you are not the Church, not Until We, as Believers, Gather Together in His Name, as a Congregation, do we become a Church; the Bride of Christ! COME TO CHURCH! Hebrews 10: 24-25.

Praise for: The fear has subsided in our land; in our nation, state and city, as our trust once again is turned to the God of all creation.  FEAR NOT!  For I am with you says the Lord God! 

PRAY FOR: The many that are unsaved, in and around Valley Farms. Rebuke, and hold back the ungodly cult of Mormonism. These people who have turned their backs on the true Jesus, and therefore are by no means saved, but are on their way to an Eternity in HELL!

PRAY FOR: Salvation for OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT.

PRAY THAT: All who claim to know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives and will be willing to pay the one debt, we all owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE to the Lord Jesus (Romans 13:8)!

PRAY FOR ALL CONCERNED: As Pastor Bill teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2). As he teaches the Truth of God's word and rebukes all false gospels. Pray that many would respond to the Truth of God's Word in love and truth.

POWER, AUTHORITY, AND SUBMISSION:  PART 2
SCRIPTURE:  John 1:12 and Matthew 21:28-32

1.   Power comes from the Greek word “Dunamis” which also means __________, ability, might, or miracle.

 

2.   Authority comes from the Greek word “Exousia” which means the right to act or _________________ is given.

 

3.   Submission comes from the Greek word “Hupotasso” formed from two root words: “Hupo” meaning to put under and “Tasso” meaning to arrange in order.  So, the meaning is to ________ in order—under.  It is a __________ word for following in rank order.

 

4.   Many people crave ___________, but only know secular authority and don’t know how to operate in God’s power and authority so they go on walking in fear.

 

5.   Jesus is our example.  He had ____________ in his life and was in complete subjection to the Father’s will.

 

6.   Jesus chose to be our _________ all the way to the cross until He said, “It is finished”.

SALVATION: Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell! You MUST, first of all: Humble yourself and Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

* Mark 1:15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;"

•Romans 10:13 “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"

•Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you search for Me with all your (being) heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the ONLY way to SALVATION, AND IT IS WORTH IT!

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
