As the Senior Pastor of this church, called by God to oversee His Church in Valley Farms, it is my responsibility from God to seek the meekness of humility in obedience to Him as I care for, His little flock; To be God honoring; Saint loving; Reaching out to the lost; While Teaching His Word Without Compromise.
A POWERFUL TRUTH:
The Word of God is alive and Powerful! When truly heard, this Word will awaken the spiritually dead. His Word, when accepted as truth; will save men from their sin, therefore... “How can they hear without a preacher?” – Romans 10: 13-15.
Should you have any questions, feel free to talk with me.

Pastor’s Corner By: Pastor William Perry
Is Ordination Outdated?
Most of us understand that the meaning of being an “ordained” minister means being someone who has been called by God as His special representative, now, being designated by a given religious body, and considered tested and approved for ministry according to the tenets of that church: someone who has been examined. Discernment has now occurred. They have been consecrated (set aside) by this given Denomination or Independent church to perform the duties of a minister in that church.
In most groups this means the “ordained” minister has the right to minister the ordinances of the church; in some, it means they have earned the right to be called “pastor”; in some groups, elders and deacons are also “ordained.” In some churches, this means some gifts are now recognized in special ways making such gifts into “offices” in this church. For many, the consecration occurs by the “laying on of hands,” sometimes called “cheirotonia” (Greek term).
It is understood throughout Christendom that only an already-consecrated person may “lay on hands” – following a first, but this implies a “first” and who was that? The first was Jesus!
Is there another way? Yes, in fact, there is. In the other way; the ordination occurs by the congregation, not by a bishop or an already-consecrated person. As such, the designation is for the body and not a person. The way to look at this is simple: If laying on hands is the act of consecration, who lays on hands in the New Testament?
In Acts 6:1-6 differentiation of callings is the driving issue, instructions were needed (so a list is given: good reputation, full of the Spirit, full of wisdom), people in the congregation were selected, and the congregation chose. The selected were set apart before the apostles – so there is something “formal” at work. Either the apostles or the congregation laid on hands. The apostles laid on hands, but it needs to be observed that they are only recognizing/consecrating/blessing whom the church has chosen.
In Acts, similar events involve the congregation: Acts 1:15-26; 13:1-3; 14:23. The act of ordination is an act of prayer and blessings. I think the writer of Acts, minimizes the role played by the apostles and other leaders. It is understood that; the congregation lay on hands; church leaders lay on hands. In and through this Ceremony, it is the Blessing of the Lord, doing something special in the life of this man, as well as the church that is surely at work from above. Amen'
IS THERE A BIBLICAL PRESCRIPTION TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? YES! ONE AND ONLY ONE. IT'S FOUND IN 2nd CHRONICLES 7:14; "IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS AND HEAL THEIR LAND."
THE ANSWER IS: TURN BACK TO THE LORD GOD-TO FAITH-FAMILY!
WHY REACH OUT AND MINISTER TO MEN?
- When a child is reached for Christ, 3.5% of the family will follow.
- When a mother is reached for Christ, 17% of her family will follow.
- When a father is reached for Christ, 93% of his family will follow. (Per the Heritage Foundation)
- THE LORD S CALLING FAITHFUL MEN TO LEAD THEIR FAMILIES!

PRAISE: Kathy's bone marrow report reveals no abnormality at all. All else looks as it did, with the white blood count up just a bit. The doctor had Kathy walk about a mile, and had her blood taken again to see if the walk brought her blood count up. Nothing needs to be done at this time--just keep a watch on it. Thanks for your prayers--we are PRAISING THE LORD!!!
PRAY FOR: The Community Christian Church, as we move into 2019. The answer is in the direction of The Lord.
CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR DON PERRY: As he and his family faces the Christmas season without their wife and mother.

PRAY FOR: The many in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!
PRAY FOR: OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT, as they make their pick of a SUPREME COURT JUSTICE! A very important decision for the nation!
PRAY THAT: All who claim to know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives, and will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)!
PRAY FOR HUMILITY: As Pastor Bill teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2). Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).
PRAY FOR: Our Church to BOLDLY continue Teaching God's Word Without Compromise until the end.

SALVATION: Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell! You MUST, first of all: Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:
•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”
•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus
•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Turn to God in Repentance
•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”
Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!
•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”
•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”
•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to SALVATION, AND IT IS WORTH IT!

Look for Pastor Bill's latest book
Dr. William Perry is a prolific writer of outstanding books. His titles for Newburgh Press thus far are Christians Helping Christians, Christian Counseling for the 21st Century and Theology for the 21st Century. Each book is a must for every reader of solid Christian material.
I am happy to endorse Dr. Perry’s latest treasure, “A Journey Through The Gospels.” Every student and preacher/teacher of the Bible needs this book for the desk or the bedside table. You will enjoy reading insights and valuable lessons that many casual readers of the Bible will miss.
While this book is not lengthy you will find a delightful study of each gospel that will make you appreciate the wonderful gospel stories and love Jesus even more.

I apologize that I'm late in sending you an update on Barbara Ruesch's surgery.
ReplyDeleteShe did amazing and the surgeon told Bob he was very impressed with how well she is doing.
She will remain in the hospital until maybe Tuesday. Please continue to pray for healing, NO infection and for the staff caring for her.
Bob and the family appreciate all your prayers and thoughts - you're the best!
We are doing well. Claudia had some doctor appointments during the week and have lead to some idea of where we need to go with further testings and treatment. I am thankful for some progress finally. We hope to come visit soon, and I would be honored to speak again. I'll pray for guidance on a message. I am working on a couple short articles to send out, but I likely won't have them done until next week. One is "Do you know God or just know of God?" The other is based on one of my concerns, cherry picking scripture verses and taking them out of context to support a message that is not biblically correct.
ReplyDeleteYep, these days, think thrice about who you give out your information to, it have to be a trusted source.
ReplyDeleteIf they won’t take cash or check, then that’s a red flag. Avoid those at all costs.
Yes, the talk was great. It always is. I do understand that finding a pastor would be complicated that meets the criteria of what is needed. I am not really sure what the steps are, but I am sure it would involve multiple interviews and a few Sundays at the pulpit. A tough decision, but I am sure God will help with that decision.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello PB,
ReplyDeleteGood Word for sure, We are so being distracted in these days ....
Sin will: Take you further down the hole than you wanted to go; Keep you there longer than you wanted to stay; Cost you more than you wanted to pay. ..... Everytime.
So many people have been taught that all they need to do is accept Jesus and they are given the rewards of heaven .... Your message on Romans 12:1-2 sure gives clearer understanding on that .... we are to be acceptable to Jesus! I have come to call it our AUG degree .... Approved Unto God. 2 Timothy 2:15. It Can Be Done ... Amen
Bill & Kathy,
ReplyDeleteWow-that’s hard! Will be praying for little LYDIA GRACE and her parents. Have friends who lost their 1st child to meningitis many years ago…praying the Doctors will figure this out fast and she will begin recovery.
In Christian Love,
Will be praying for them, I remember when Skeeter had meningitis and how touch and go that was.
ReplyDeletePrayers for the little one.
ReplyDeleteGod bless
I received a call today from Barb Ruesch expressing her gratitude to all of the CRM family for their faithful prayer support for her and her recent surgery. She is home and slowly recovering and adjusting to her routine. Please continue to pray for her strength to return and for Bob and Rebecca and Shane.
ReplyDeleteThanks again from Barb!
WOW! Such good teaching- looking forward to watching this with the crew! So good- AMEN!
ReplyDeleteOk- Love it! Good for a lonely heart- Lord bless you and your family Pastor Bill
ReplyDeleteYes, I will (pursue purity). Thanks for the message.
ReplyDeletePastor Bill,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers. They are very much appreciated.
