Responsibility of the Senior Pastor
*************************************************
As the Senior Pastor of this church, called by God to oversee His Church in Valley Farms, it is my responsibility from God to care for the flock; see that His Church is always God honoring; That His Word is taught without compromise.
A POWERFUL TRUTH:
The Word of God is alive and Powerful! When truly heard, this Word will awaken the spiritually dead. His Word, when accepted as truth; will save men from their sin, therefore... “How can they hear without a preacher?” – Romans 10: 13-15.
Should you have any questions, feel free to talk with me.

IS THERE A BIBLICAL PRESCRIPTION TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? YES! ONE AND ONLY ONE. IT'S FOUND IN 2nd CHRONICLES 7:14; "IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS AND HEAL THEIR LAND."
THE ANSWER IS: TURN BACK TO THE LORD GOD-TO FAITH-FAMILY!

Pastor’s Corner

Blessed Be the Small Church and it's Pastor
We all have a mental image of what our “ideal” church is. Having been a small child in rural North Dakota, my mental image no doubt comes from my memories of the small white churches that could be found through out the state in many small farming communities. Sadly small community churches are disappearing rapidly all around us throughout the country. Like the many small local mom and pop stores of the past being replaced by big box stores; these small local church's are being replaced by the super-sized, one size fits all mega church. Most of the local churches are being forced to close because of declining congregations with far too many people being drawn to the bigger mega churches with all the “amenities” they claim to offer, a theology that is a mile wide and 1/4 in. deep, causing a general decline in Christian teaching. These mega churches truly do not offer more of what is truly important.
(1 Peter 5:2),“shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness;”
It is true, Jesus did speak to large crowds, many times numbering in the thousands, but these crowds were not a church. But even today, in the mega church congregation one may easily become lost to the dynamics that so readily bind us together in a small church, that is the personal connection to each other as well as to the pastor; and the church family. Lost is the close nit community feel as these mega churches with their large auditorium seating, filled with hundreds, at times even thousands. The Pastor of the church may never appear before them live, but only on a big screen with surround sound. In this setting, the connection between the pastor and his flock cannot be forged, or nurtured when the pastor appears as larger than life on a big screen monitor. Lost is the pastoral care; the real human connection, the nurturing, and personal contact with the pastor. Lost in the mega church is that community connection. Too often, sermons preached in the mega-church are polished, sterile and “boiled”productions that in no way connect to the specific spiritual needs of the local community. The delivery becomes more like a political campaign speech, with lots of feel good fluff, a one size fits all feel, but with very little substance. While such sermons may bring in the numbers and money, and may keep them in attendance, but do not challenge their sin filled life in any way! A larger congregation does not equate to the true mission; Saved Souls.
Truly it is important for all of us to attend church on a regular basis, but I would challenge any that attend the mega-church, to take a chance, to attend a small local church in your community. To get to know and appreciate the spiritual connection that is often lost in the impersonal mass of large congregations, the value and heart felt simple greetings before and after the service, the connection between the pastor and church member (or visitor) can never be underestimated or replaced. There is, and always will be a need for the God called pastor and his humble uncompromising sermon delivery, for his eagerness to spread God's word, for his love for the local church. Like looking for that small mom and pop restaurant that has the best food to eat and the personal touch that comes with it. Take the time to look for that small local church with its loving uncompromising pastor, who will feed you the "Bread of Life", Bread that will feed your eternal soul.
----------
Lord we pray for all churches both big and small, to teach the truth, without compromise. Bless the powerful Jesus Honoring small church, bless it's pastor who will stand tall and preach Your Word, and give you the glory, that truly belongs to you, Lord.
We pray in Jesus’s name
Amen

POWER, AUTHORITY, AND SUBMISSION: PART 2
SCRIPTURE: John 1:12

real meaning is to _______ in order—under. It is a ______ word for following
in rank order.
- Many

to the Father. He was in complete
subjection to the Father’s will.
- (John
5:30) Jesus was not a lone ranger; he was directed __________ by
the Father’s will. Because of this
all power and authority was released in His life.
- Jesus’
words were spiritual; they came directly from the Father. Jesus’ words and His will were under ____________
control under the Father.
- Jesus
operated in power by healing the sick, opening the eyes of the blind,

1:12)
- Then we are given permission or the right to use the authority of His Name and apply that ___________ to all that is associated with His Name in our life.

Look for Pastor Bill's latest book
Dr. William Perry is a prolific writer of outstanding books. His titles for Newburgh Press thus far are Christians Helping Christians, Christian Counseling for the 21st Century and Theology for the 21st Century. Each book is a must for every reader of solid Christian material.
I am happy to endorse Dr. Perry’s latest treasure, “A Journey Through The Gospels.” Every student and preacher/teacher of the Bible needs this book for the desk or the bedside table. You will enjoy reading insights and valuable lessons that many casual readers of the Bible will miss.
While this book is not lengthy you will find a delightful study of each gospel that will make you appreciate the wonderful gospel stories and love Jesus even more.
