IS THERE A BIBLICAL PRESCRIPTION TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? YES! ONE AND ONLY ONE. IT'S FOUND IN 2nd CHRONICLES 7:14; "IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS AND HEAL THEIR LAND."
THE ANSWER IS: TURN BACK TO THE LORD GOD-TO FAITH-FAMILY!

Don't Be a Doubting Thomas
Written by Dr. D. Wayne Beeks, Blue Line Ministry - Edited by: Dr. W. Perry
"Don't be a doubting Thomas." I'm sure many of us heard that from our parents, and others while growing up. Like many of the common sayings we use today in our daily conversations, this saying can trace its origins to the Bible.
Thomas, also called Didymus, was a real person, and one of Jesus's twelve disciples. When several of the disciples told Thomas, they had seen the resurrected Jesus (John 20:25), "We have seen the Lord," Thomas responded with doubt. Thomas told them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe."
Eight days later when Thomas was together with the other disciples, Jesus came to them and stood in their midst. Jesus spoke to Thomas, (John 20:27) "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing." Thomas responded to Jesus by saying, "My Lord and my God." Jesus then said to Thomas, (John 20:29), "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
It is certain since Thomas had doubt, Thomas also had belief in Jesus Christ. Thomas doubted the resurrection of Jesus Christ because he had not physically seen the resurrected Jesus Christ, along with his injuries incurred during crucifixion. His faith was lacking in what he had been told by the other kisciples and hadn't seen for himself.
The definition of doubt is to be uncertain of things, or of your ability, or of the ability of another. It's a negative feeling for the outcome of something, or of some event. In contrast, the definition of faith is almost the direct opposite. Faith is to have the complete trust, belief, or confidence in someone or something in absence of tangible proof. The presence of doubt is the enemy of faith and is a tool of Satan to undermine and destroy your faith in God.
A friend of doubt is ignorance. Ignorance means the lack of knowledge or information and through ignorance the vines of doubt will grow and spread throughout your life. Together, doubt and ignorance are enemies to all areas of your life, including your spiritual life and your relationship with God. While ignorance is the friend of doubt, truth is the enemy of doubt. Jesus said we are to have childlike faith; to be humble and teachable, and as a child to ask questions in search of truth, to learn what you don't know and to believe. Growing in truth and faith through reading and learning of the World of God, you will remove the negative presence, power, and influence of doubt in your life; "the truth shall set you free."
(John 8:31-32), "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, 'if you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

COMMENT FROM AN INTERNET CONTRIBUTOR: "HEY PASTOR BILL, YOU SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE AN AGENDA WHEN YOU PREACH!"
YOU BET I DO! (BUT ONLY ONE!) To teach the Truth! To teach that all roads do not lead to Heaven. Only the narrow road, that leads to repentance! Through Obedience to following Jesus Christ as Lord. All other roads lead to hell and destruction (John 8:32).

THE SEVEN BOWLS OF WRATH

PRAY/PRAISE FOR CHUM: Chum has been doing okay. He will get a chest x-ray next week to follow-up on the lung cancer. They will follow-up with x-rays for the next few months, then he will have a CT Scan of the chest and MRI of the brain in another couple of months. Right now he is stable. Still trying to get his strength back from the chemo, etc., but he's doing ok. Thank God.
PRAY: Michele was doing great, but now she just found out that the cancer has spread to the other side of the brain. She will be going in for full brain radiation. She's already had five brain surgeries. So she needs more prayers. We haven't stopped praying, but now she needs extra prayer.
PRAY FOR: Eric for his work situation. His eyes are getting better, but his ears are getting worse. Please continue to pray.
PRAY: We would keep the pulpit of the Community Christian Church Sacred and free from the Profane.
PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill and the Leadership team of the Community Christian Church of Valley Farms to maintain a Separation between the Profane ( the Secular) and the Pure (the Spiritual) ; between the Holy and the Unholy; protecting the Sanctity and Purity of the Pulpit as the place where the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD is PROCLAIMED!
PRAY FOR: The ones in our church who are caught up in the sin of alcohol (drinking), and tobacco (smoking), that they would be released from Satan's snare.

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!
PRAY FOR: The True Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin!
PRAY FOR: OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT, THEY NEED THE LORD'S HELP!!
PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..
PRAY THAT: All who know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if they do, and will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)!

Look for Pastor Bill's latest book
Dr. William Perry is a prolific writer of outstanding books. His titles for Newburgh Press thus far are Christians Helping Christians, Christian Counseling for the 21st Century and Theology for the 21st Century. Each book is a must for every reader of solid Christian material.
I am happy to endorse Dr. Perry’s latest treasure, “A Journey Through The Gospels.” Every student and preacher/teacher of the Bible needs this book for the desk or the bedside table. You will enjoy reading insights and valuable lessons that many casual readers of the Bible will miss.
While this book is not lengthy you will find a delightful study of each gospel that will make you appreciate the wonderful gospel stories and love Jesus even more.

ReplyDeleteHello PB,
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe that this government will become even more corrupt - I feel as if we are watching a nation implode before our eyes.
Young people going to school are being indoctrinated in corrupt teachings and philosophy - Colossians 2:8... even in schools preparing men and women for ministry.
May God use us to turn back people from jumping into hell - Amen.
Butterflies are so pretty. Thank you for the Blessings and same to you both.
