WHEN YOU ATTEND CHURCH—

What do you expect from the preaching?

If you expect to come away with intellectual insights, you will find something to satisfy that desire.

If you expect the preacher to say something debatable, you will.

If you expect to judge the quality of the message, you will find something he said wrong or could have been said differently.

If you expect to have a to-do-list for moral improvement, you will find opportunity for behavior modification to try harder and do better.

But of course if…

you expect to find a life transformation; you will discover the spirit exposing sin and fostering greater desire for repentance.

you expect to become like Jesus; you will be granted fresh eyes of faith to behold Jesus.

you expect to be used in the service of the Kingdom; you will find the Word empowering and enabling you to bear fruit disproportionate to your abilities.

you expect to meet God; you will find God will not pass by without glimpses of His glory and grace.

So I guess the real question is…

What are you expecting to find whenever you come under the Authority and Power of God’s Living and Active, Faith-Engendering, Sin-Exposing, Christ-Exalting, Gospel-Centered Word? 

Trust me; what you Seek you will Find!

PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISE REPORTS

PRAY: We would keep the pulpit of the Community Christian Church Sacred and free from the Pro-fain.

, 

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill and the Leadership team of the Community Christian Church of Valley Farms to maintain a Separation between the Profane and the Pure,the Holy and the Unholy, protecting the Sanctity and Purity of the Pulpit with the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD!

PRAY FOR: The ones in our church who are caught up in the sin of alcohol (drinking), and tobacco (smoking), that they would be released from Satan's snare.

PRAISE FOR: Kathy and her ear-drum situation, as it  has healed and the infection is gone.

PRAISE: For Assistant Pastor Todd, as he has been accepted into the Master's of Divinity program at Seminary.

PRAISE: For Fred, as he has been accepted into the Pastoral Leadership program at Seminary.

PRAY FOR: Wisdom for our President and his joint chiefs as they consider North Korea and their NUCLEAR threat!

PRAISE THE LORD: For the His sure PRESCRIPTION for fixing any discouragement. It is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.

PRAY FOR CHUM:   Chum is having trouble with chemo therapy.  The doctors are considering changing his therapy.

PRAISE:  Michele is doing fine.  Praise the Lord!

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!

PRAY FOR: The True  Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  THEY NEED THE LORD'S HELP!!  

PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

PRAY THAT: All who know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if they do, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY THAT:  All men who are called into the pastorate would see the need to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader  understanding of the LORD JESUS CHRIST & the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2).  Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAY FOR: Our Church to continue in our Teaching God's Word Without Compromise.

 SALVATION; Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but From Eternity in Hell! You MUST, first of all; Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
