WE REAP WHAT WE SOW

     Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?"  (regarding Hurricane Katrina).  Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.  She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government, and to get out of our lives.  And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.  How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

     In light of recent events...terrorist attacks, school shootings, etc., I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.  Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school.  The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself.  And we said OK.  Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide).  We said an expert should know what he's talking about.  And we said OK.  Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.  Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.  I think it has a great deal to do with, "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

     Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.  Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.  Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.  Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar, and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.  Are you laughing yet?  Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.  

     Pass it on if you think this has merit.  If not then just discard it...no one will know you did.  But if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISE REPORTS

PRAISE FOR: For the GREAT turn out for our twenty year CELEBRATION November 17,18,19. 

PRAY FOR: The ones in our church who are caught up in the sin of alcohol (drinking), and tobacco (smoking), that they would be released from Satan's snare.

PRAY FOR: Kathy's ear, she has a small hole in her ear drum, with infection behind it.

PRAISE: For Assistant PastorTodd, as he has been accepted into the Master's of Divinity program at Seminary.

PRAISE: For Fred, as he has been accepted into the Pastoral Leadership program at Seminary.

PRAY FOR: Wisdom for our President and his joint chiefs as they consider North Korea and their NUCLEAR threat!

.PRAISE THE LORD: For the His sure PRESCRIPTION for fixing any discouragement. It is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.

PRAY FOR CHUM:   Chum's tumor is shrinking in the lung, and the brain is stable at this time.  He continues to go through treatment (chemo).  Thank you for your prayers.

PRAY FOR MICHELE:  Michele's tumor came back in her frontal lobe and she had her 4th surgery on her brain. 

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!

PRAY FOR ERIC:   He is still having problems with his head. I thank everyone for their prayers.

PRAY FOR: The True  Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  THEY NEED THE LORD'S HELP!!  

PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

PRAY THAT: All who know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if they do, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY THAT:  All men who are called into the pastorate would see the need to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader  understanding of the LORD JESUS CHRIST & the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2).  Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAISE FOR: Our Church's' 20 years of service  to Teaching God's Word Without Compromise Celebration.

 Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
