An Ode to Time -- by Pastor Bill Perry

Welcome to June!! and the half-way mark through the year 2017.

How fast time seems to fly.  

As a flower blowing in the wind, a wisp of vapor, 

or the sands of time, as it passes through the hour glass.

It seems to move slowly at first, but the nearer the end,

the faster-faster-faster it flows.

Oh, how ill prepared we are for this time of life,

as all things slow down with the exception of time,

and it races forward at full speed.

For some of us, we learn to love and appreciate more fully God,

the ones around us, and the meaning of life.

For others, it's bitterness, hate, regret and self-absorbency.

Our love and hearts reach out to you, 

because you are truly a part of who we are.

PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISE REPORTS

Pray for Chum:   Chum is doing okay; he had his 4th brain radiation with 6 more to go.  So far he's handling them okay.  Prayers he gets through them with little to no side effects.  There was a benefit for Churm on Friday.  They had a really good turnout.  .  There have been so many good people during this.  So many love him, that's because he is so lovable.  Thank you for all your continued prayers.

Pray for Michele:  Michele is healing well from her surgery.  Thank God for that.

Pray & Praise for 14 year old Hope:  Thank you for your prayers for Hope!!  God is answering!  

Pray for: The many in and around Valley Farms who do not know the Lord as their Lord and Savior,

Pray for Our son Eric: Eric sent us this update concerning his Papilledema, intracranial pressure.  Thursday morning I had my 2nd Lumbar puncture (spinal tap) which took roughly 2 and 1/2 hours from the time we got inuntil we got out.  The goal was to check the pressure of the cerebral fluid.  The thing to remember was the doctor told me. "It looks like the pressure is normal"...  I asked him what the measurement was and he said 32.5.  (I had no idea what that meant)...anyway ...I went to my newly scheduled appointment with my Neurol-ophthalmologist later in the day.  I found that "32.5 IS NOT NORMAL".  This it is high.  It seems that 6 - 20 is a typical reading for normal.  She wrote me a prescription for some medication.  I was furioius when she told me it was high---not with her---but the doctor that told me it was normal.  I just wonder how my conditions would have been if I was put on the medicine 5 months ago.  She is saying that I may have had the Papilledema for awhile and my vision may not be fully corrected.  (possibly, but she is not too optimistic)  She wants me to see a surgical doctor to discuss surgery options if the vision does not come back.   I think we are going in the right direction now.  Thanks so much for the continued prayers.

Pray for: The many in our families and in our community who are caught up in the cult of Mormonism. Pray their eyes would be opened to the truth of the True Christ. That Christians would see the area in and around Valley Farms as a wide open MISSION FIELD.

PRAY: The Church would not give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, (that is, not confronting the make-believer who claims to be believers), yet they continue in their disobedience, as if the Lord has given them a License to Sin! HE HAS NOT! (1 John 2:19). Pray that the Church would be Strong,  yet compassionate in their confrontation.

Pray for:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  THEY NEED OUR PRAYERS!!  

Pray that: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

Pray that: All who know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if they do, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

Pray: That all men who are called into the pastorate would know the need to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader  understanding of the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

Pray for: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2). Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

 Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
