THE CHURCH WILL GO DOWN IN DISGRACE!"

Is God Calling You to be a Pastor?

The right kind of education is essential to the man who has answered God's call. No army dare send a soldier into battle without proper training. The results would be devastating, not only for the warrior, but for the war.

NEWS FROM THE PERRY’S

clip_image010

As the year 2014 ends, here we are once more sitting near the fireplace enjoying the moment, and looking forward to the beginning of another year, and I might add, with great expectations, looking forward to the Lord’s continued blessings in this upcoming year. As we pause to give thanks to Him for His many, many blessings.

clip_image012clip_image014Once again, the year has flown by, as has the years before. This year found us with the challenge and the joy of church life in Valley Farms. We have seen some come into fellowship, and some leave. We have had the privilege of leading some to Salvation in Christ. We were saddened by the loss of our dear friend Deloris, but, filled with joy at knowing she is in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ. The sadness of seeing our Northern friends leave us, but the joy of having them return. We are excited with the attendance, and the anticipation of what the Lord has in store at Valley Farms.

In January this year we were blessed to be able to take a 10 day tour of Israel, the Holy land. This was truly a life changing time of our life, as we witnessed the places our Lord Jesus passed through, lived and ministered. To sit on the mountain-side, looking over the Sea of Galilee where Jesus may have viewed his disciples fishing.

clip_image016It was in June, that we made a trip back to participate in graduation at Newburgh Seminary and College of the Bible. As we made our way out to Indiana, we stopped by Searcy, Arkansas for a visit with sister-in-law Shirley, which is always a nice visit. We stopped by East St. Louis for a short visit with Kathy’s cousin, Jeff, and his wife Nancy, and then on up to Wisconsin for a visit with Kathy’s sister Carol, and brother-in-law Victor, and on up to the UP of Michigan for a visit with other family members. We then moved on up to the North side of Lake Superior and a visit with friends Jeff, Beth and their children in Minnesota. We dropped by for a visit with our friends in North Dakota. During our return trip back home, we also stopped by Parker, CO for a few days with Ronnie, Jennifer and Kiley. To say the least, we were ecstatic to hear that our grand-daughter Kiley is so excited to now be going to a Christian school, PRAISE THE LORD for His Love. We are now starting to get excited, anticipating our new year. In the Lord, life is always very exciting.

This year we continued to be involved with helping at the “The Hope Women’s Center”, we continue to support this ministry with our prayers and gifts. It is such a blessing to see Todd Ovitt growing in the Lord, as he serves as Assistant Pastor at Community Christian Church, we are thanking the Lord daily for him. We continued to be humbled, yet excited, that the Lord would entrust us with this task of pastoring here in Valley Farms, Thank you Jesus!

In September both Pastor Bill & Kathy had books published, we are excited about that, as we continue to work at our writing as the Lord allows. We are now getting ready for Christmas and the New Year. Looking forward to what the Lord has for us, what an exciting time to be living, to be able to witness God’s work first hand in the affairs of men and women, here and throughout the world, knowing that His return for His Church could be any moment. Blessed be the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In November Kathy was elected (4 year term), on the city of Coolidge’s “Unified School Board”, and will take her seat on the board in January 2015. We are now enjoying our “Snow Bird” friends returning to Arizona, WELCOME!

As we approach the end of the year, and move into 2015, we are looking forward to getting to know our church friends in a deeper way, as we continue to “Preach the Word; Love the People.” It has been truly a full year for us as the Lord continues to use us, as we make ourselves fully available to His direction, so that He may use us in whatever way He sees fit. We are in His hands!

May we forever keep in mind that Jesus Christ is the REASON FOR THE SEASON!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!clip_image018

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE WORD—”CHRISTIMAS”?

birth-of-jesus-christ-mormon_thumb4_Crucifixion_thumb5_thumbresurrection2_thumb3_thumbjesus-ascension-091_thumb4_thumb

Christmas is made up of two distinct words, taken from the Latin words, “Cristes, and Maesse”, or, “CHRIST and MAS”.

CHRIST is referring to the LORD JESUS THE CHRIST.

The word MAS is indicating a message of GOOD NEWS, or, His Redemptive Death for the Sins of Mankind. “THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS THE CHRIST.” Hence, the true meaning of CHRISTMAS is THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST.  No other meaning will suffice!

  6. Just finished your message,

    Question?
Do you think the small town mentality for this troubled Teenager had anything to do with the .... 'no room' in the inn?

...as you said this was very looked down upon and the penalty could have been death.

  11. Pastor Bill and Kathy,

We are so happy to hear that Scott is doing so well. We are praying for a speedy recovery and that his rehab will go well.

I am so sorry I haven't let you know about Lynn's surgery. It went just great, Dr. said her bones were
real soft and they are hoping and we are all praying that with supplements they will harden up again. It is
caused from taking so many Steroids in the last few years that some Dr. wanted her to take for problems.
I can tell you, she won't take them again. Her heart did well all through surgery, 6 hours under anesthesia.
She had two rods and 4 screws to keep her spine straight and hopefully the screws will adhere to
    the bones real good.

Thank you all for the prayers and concerns, we could feel them and I know Lynn could as she said she
was at peace before she went in for the surgery.

We love you all and really do miss you, but will see you at some point in time.

    God Bless you both.

    Love,

  12. My Daughter, Carla, her Husband, Greg and my Grandson, were very impressed with the Christmas Services last evening. They felt very welcomed by everyone. They mentioned several times how much they enjoyed attending. Needless to say, I was happy they joined us. Thank you so much, it was Great.

  13. Bill & Kathy;
Hope you both had a wonderful Christmas and Santa brought you gifts of the heart.
We did nothing special, it was nice and Quiet around our house, we watched some old movies, and reminisced about years gone by, lots of Good Memories, but then we are still making Memories. (Mostly good ones) God supplies our needs, not necessarily our wants. God is Good
Take care, God Bless you and yours, our Prayers are with you always
    Love & Devotions
