9/11  THIRTEEN YEARS AGO!

A DAY THAT WILL GO DOWN IN INFAMY- A DAY THAT CHANGED OUR LIVES FOREVER- MAY WE ALWAYS REMEMBER! AND…

Where were you on this day that will forever live in infamy in the hearts and minds of Americans?  We would be very interested in knowing your thoughts.

I (Pastor Bill) was on my way to church when I heard the news on the car radio.  I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

I (Kathy) was teaching school when a person from the school office came to the classroom door to tell me what was going on.  I wanted to sink to the floor.

    I remember that...
    I was on my way to work, I remember getting a call from Tracy , saying an airplane just hit the world trade. I told her it was probably an accident . She then told me a second one hit. I knew there was a problem then. That was a horrible day for a lot of people . A number of firefighters from our area were lost that day. Very sad. It brought us together as a country but at a great expense. It is great that we look back every year to remember it, it keeps us aware of the constant terrorist issue.

    I can't wait to hear all about the concert and to hear how God moves through it. We are praying for it and everyone involved. I pray many come to know our Jesus!!

    So where were we on 9/11? We had just married. I was at home watching the Today show which I typically did as I got ready for class. I was in Broadcast 2 class at the time I believe which means I was just about to be on air. And I had to watch the Today show bc we would have pop news quizzes. I was watching it when they broke news that there was a fire at one of the towers and at the time they thought it was a small plane that accidentally crashed into it. I called Ronnie immediately. He was already at work at Culligan and he was in shock. As I was on the phone with him I witnesses the second plane hit the building and I told him "someone is attacking us." I went ahead and went to class and sat in horror watching the rest of the events unfold. It was so scary. Ronnie had to work the whole day but listened to it all on the radio. That night we got together with our married couples group and held a prayer circle for the victims and families. That was when we had just started our young married couples group at our church with Candy and Michael, Jill and Brian and a few other couples we met.

    Hi,

    On the day of 9/11 - I Sandy, was in the downstairs painting my laundry room, mom called and told
    me to get on TV, What an awful sight. Our daughter, Mary flies for American and when I heard it
    was an American Flight and Mary would fly that flight often. All I could do is call her, no answer, our
    son Paul called American and they couldn't tell him anything at the time. All I could think is, is Mary
    a Born Again Christian yet?

    Fred was at the Barber shop getting a hair cut.
    Hope and pray there is never anything like that again.

    Is Todd in the Christian Band that is coming to the church?
