The Community Christian Church of Valley Farms, AZ now serves between 900 and 1,000 each week, via; Regular in house Church Service; DVD; and the Internet Video Ministry.     TAKE TIME OUT FOR JESUS!

    A few years ago I found a book as I was browsing through a local library. In this book I found a paraphrase of Psalm 23 by; Toki Miyashina. He called it “the 23rd Psalm for the busy person of today” I found it to be delightful. I found it again recently on the internet …and would like to share it…

    “ The Lord is my Pacesetter, I shall not rush. He makes me stop and rest for quiet intervals. He provides me with images of stillness which restore my serenity. He leads me in ways of efficiency, through calmness of mind, and His guidance is peace. Even though I have a great many things to accomplish this day, I will not fret, for His presence is here. His timelessness, His all-importance, will keep me in balance. He prepares refreshment and renewal in the midst of my activity by anointing my head with the oil of tranquility. My cup of joyous energy overflows. Surely harmony and effectiveness shall be the fruits of my hours, for I shall walk in the place of my Lord, and dwell in His house forever”.

    My mind began to go into a counseling mode, knowing that there are many in the world, like myself, that just need to shift gears just a bit, and get into a slower pace, take more time, to walk with the Lord, get back into step with His steps in delightful fellowship.

    No time in the history of the world have we seen the need for Truth more than today. We are bombarded from all sides, day and night, with the noise of information, so much, that our heads at times, start to spin out of control.

    This poem, like the original Psalm 23 is a reminder for people like me, and you—who easily get caught up in the grip of rush and hurry— that God is unrushed and His guidance is unhurried.

    We each need to stop and meditate on God and His Word, seek His face. TAKE SOME TIME, TODAY! It may be a life saving pause.
