"Easter"

We have just this past week, celebrated the "Easter" holiday and were reminded of this as 
we entered just about any public building. If you didn’t know better, you could quickly form the notion that "Easter" Sunday is somehow all about rabbits, colored eggs and candy. "Easter", or more accurately titled Resurrection Sunday, is the most important day of the year for Christians. It's the day in which we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. Unless by chance you had entered a church on that day, or entered  a Christian book store; the real significance and miraculousness of this Holy day would be nowhere depicted. This is just another symptom of the declining days of our time; the falling away from God, Christianity and the Church is now seen in every aspect of today’s society.

I read an article the other day that reported about one-third of those who identify themselves as Christians, are not Christians at all, but truly profess not to believe in the Resurrection, and this number is steadily on the rise. This creates a massive problem for those thinking they are Christian. Not believing Jesus was Resurrected from the dead means questioning not only the Word of God but also questioning His ability to be Alive; the very thing that would allow them to even become Born Again Christians. The  Bible  is  very  clear regarding Jesus’s physical Resurrection, and it is also clear on the necessity of believing in the Resurrection, to receiving the New Birth from above for Salvation.

“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - Romans 10:9-10.

Sad but true, for many people, we are the only Bible they may ever see. So, now, more than ever its incumbent upon all of us to share the true meaning as we celebrate "Easter"; The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. While we partake in the festivities surrounding this Special Sunday with our families, let us also celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ; who made Salvation possible, for all who confess Him as Lord, turning from their sins; promising everlasting life to all who believe in Him, following Him

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16.

PRAY FOR: Sandy East;  Registrar at Newburgh Seminary- She has had a tragedy in her family and needs our prayer.

PRAISE THE LORD!  WE NOW HAVE A NEW ROOF ON THE CHURCH!

PRAY FOR:  Todd as he deals with a number of issues.

PRAY FOR: Eric, MRI, a little swelling behind his left ear- which he will have checked out.

PRAY FOR: Please keep Fred, Debbie and the medical team in your prayers. 

PRAISE FOR: Pastor John, up in North Dakota who is recovering very well from Spine Fusion.

PRAY  FOR: Frankie, who has been moved to a rehab home in Casa Grande. She is  recovering  after a fall resulting in a broken hip.

PRAY FOR: Doug and Claudia Beeks as they deal with many issues.

PRAY FOR: Gabe Mendez who has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Gabe is 39 years, and has recently married. 

PRAY FOR: Phyllis, for her health 

PRAY FOR: Virginia Perry who is 84 and loosing her sight.

PRAY FOR: Barb Ruesch, who is dealing with cancer. Our dear friend Barb is the wife of our friend and CCRM Lead Chaplain Bob Ruesch.  

PRAY: For Fred & Debbie Bell, for good health.

PRAY FOR: The many in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT.  

PRAY THAT: All who claim to  know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we all owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE to the Lord Jesus (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY FOR HUMILITY: As Pastor Bill teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2).  Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAY FOR: Our Church to BOLDLY continue Teaching God's Word Without Compromise until the end.

SALVATION:  Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell!  You MUST, first of all:  Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
