Love Your Neighbor

It has been said, "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."

So much truth, from such simple and succinct words. It is written many times in the Bible that we shall love our neighbors as ourselves, for we are of one body in Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Romans, “Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another." (12:4-5)

One of the Pharisees, being an expert in the Law of Moses and seeking to test Jesus, asked Jesus, what is the greatest commandment, to which Jesus replied; Jesus declared with the command, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

A person that does not love their neighbor as them self, does not love Jesus Christ, nor do they walk in His word. They lie to themselves and to God. “If anyone says, “I love God,” and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother or sister whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And we have this command from Him: The one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.” (1 John 4:20-21)

God loved us first and we are one body in Christ. as Christians, as believers, we will love the Lord Jesus Christ, and be doers of the Word. As doers of the Word, we must love and keep each other. To love God, and to love your neighbor as your self is the basis of the "Golden Rule" we all heard as a child, "Do onto others as you would have them do unto you"; together in our love of the Lord, and of one another according to His Word, we shall find the beginnings of peace, respect, and understanding.

PRAY FOR KEN; Todd's friend who lost his daughter this week end.

PRAY FOR BESSIE PERRY; For strength as she is in the hospital, under Hospice care, waiting for the Loving Lord to take her HOME!

 PRAY FOR FRED AND SANDY WILCOX

PRAY FOR MICHELLE AND HER HUSBAND DON:  She is still fighting with cancer.

PRAY FOR PASTOR BILL: As he continues The Word of God without Compromise!

PRAISE BE TO GOD:  Debbie's operation to remove the cancerous thyroid WENT REALLY WELL! Thanks for your prayers. 

PLEASE ADD FRED TO YOUR PRAYER LIST..  Fred, Debbie's Husband, has been diagnosed with a stage 1 cancer.  Please keep them both in your prayers.

PRAY FOR:  Robin B. from Newburgh Theological Seminary who is recovering at home after a long illness.

PRAY FOR: Maury R. from Newburgh Theological Seminary who is in the hospital being treated for cancer..

PRAY FOR Eric: For his work situation.  His eyes are getting better, but his ears are getting worse.  Please continue to pray. 

PRAY: We would always keep the pulpit of the Community Christian Church Sacred and free from the Secular/Profane.

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill and the Leadership team of the Community Christian Church of Valley Farms to maintain a Separation between the Profane ( the Secular) and the Pure (the Spiritual) ; between the Holy and the Unholy; protecting the Sanctity and Purity of the Pulpit as the place where the TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD is PROCLAIMED! 

PRAY FOR: The ones in our church who are caught up in the sin of alcohol (drinking),  and   tobacco (smoking), that they would realize the need to FIGHT, and seek the Lord's Help in being  released from this sin.

PRAY/ PRAISE: For Assistant Pastor Todd, as he continues with his studies into the Master's of Divinity program at Seminary. Give him wisdom Lord!

PRAY FOR: Wisdom for our President and his joint chiefs as they consider Syria  and their Russian threat!

PRAISE THE LORD: For His sure PRESCRIPTION for fixing any discouragement. It is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!

PRAY FOR: The True  Church of Jesus Christ (NOT THE MORMONS) TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( that we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ). The Lord has not given a License to Sin! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  as they make their pick of a SUPREME COURT JUSTICE!  A very important decision for the nation!  

PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

PRAY THAT: All who claim to  know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if He is Real in their lives, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY THAT:  All men who are called into the pastorate would understand the need to separate themselves from the sins of the world, to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader understanding of the LORD JESUS CHRIST & the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2).  Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAY FOR: Our Church to continue in our Teaching God's Word Without Compromise.

SALVATION:  Not only to Eternity in Heaven, but from Eternity in Hell!  You MUST, first of all:  Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!
