PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISE REPORTS

PRAISE FOR: The monsoon rain that has extinguished most of our wild fires in Arizona.

PRAISE: The sure Rx for fixing discouragement is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love.

PRAY FOR CARRIE KING:  She has been having some TIAs keep her in your prayers.

PRAY FOR TODD:  As he fills the pulpit this week.

PRAY FOR CHUM:   Thank you for the prayers.  Chum's been really having a tough time with his chemo.  They may have to switch it up some.  He's had to go in for fluids several times.  He has to go in each day this week for fluids.  If it doesn't get better he will need a feeding tube.  So extra prayers for him to have the strength to get through this.  It's so hard to see him struggling.  He feels some better after getting fluids.  We ask for continued prayers.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR MICHELE:  Michele is healing well from her surgery.  We are thanking God for that.

PRAY FOR: Senator John McCain, who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. 

.  

PRAY FOR: The many in Arizona, in and around Valley Farms who are trapped in the ungodly cult of Mormonism and have turned their back on the true Jesus, and there-fore are not saved, and are on their way to HELL!

PRAY FOR ERIC: He sent us this update.  "I'm not sure if the medicine is really working.  If it is, it's working very slowly.  I'm going to schedule a visual test in the upcoming weeks to see if anything has changed.  I ordered a hearing aid that can be configured based on my last auditory exam.  I thank everyone for their prayers."

PRAY FOR: The Church  TO NOT give in to the pressure from the world for Spiritual Correctness, ( and we would confront the make-believer who claims to be believers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ),. the Lord has not given a License to Sin! 

PRAY FOR:  OUR PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT,  THEY NEED THE LORD'S HELP!!  

PRAY THAT: All who are attending the Community Christian Church, as well as all who have ever attended- The Lord Jesus knows who you are, and He knows your needs. We pray that He will meet your every need. If your need is Salvation, and you have not yet accepted the Lord's invitation to join His family of believers by being born again, I pray that today will be the day you make that decision..

PRAY THAT: All who know Jesus as Lord and Savior would start to live as if they do, and  will be willing to pay the one debt we owe for our Salvation; that is the debt of LOVE (Romans 13:8)! 

PRAY THAT:  All men who are called into the pastorate would know the need to study to gain advanced Training into a deeper and broader  understanding of the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)

PRAY FOR: Pastor Bill as he teaches God's Word (1 Timothy 2:2). Also that the congregation would encourage him, and continue to love and encourage one another ( John 13:34).

PRAY FOR: The Community Christian Church's' 20 years of service  to Teaching God's Word Without Compromise coming up in November 2017

WAY BACK WHEN

            I remember the bologna of my childhood,   
            And the bread that we cut with a knife, 
            When the children helped with the housework, 
            And the men went to work not the wife. 
  
            The cheese never needed a fridge, 
            And the bread was so crusty and hot, 
            The children were seldom  unhappy 
            And the wife was content with her lot. 
  
            I remember the milk from the bottle, 
            With the yummy cream on the top, 
            Our dinner came hot from the oven, 
            And not from a freezer or shop. 
  
            The kids were a lot more contented, 
            They didn't need money for kicks, 
            Just a game with their friends in the road, 
            And sometimes the Saturday flicks.

            Where cookies for pennies were  sold

            As Mama pressed everyone's 'duds'.

            Anorexia and diets weren't heard of

 Admit You Are a Sinner in Need of a Savior:

•James 2:10 “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles on one (point), he has become guilty of all.”

•Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

•Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accept God’s Love through the/Sacrifice in His Son Jesus

•Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Turn to God in Repentance

•Acts 20:21 “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.”

Trust the Fullness Jesus Christ!

•Romans 10:9 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as  Lord,  and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;”

•Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

•Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him Who they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?

•Romans 10:17 “So then Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

•Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me (God) and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

It may not be easy to give up your old sinful ways, and turn in faith to Jesus Christ; but it is the only way to  SALVATION,  AND IT IS WORTH IT! 

 CALL UPON (THE FULLNESS OF) THE NAME OF JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!

INTRODUCING OUR GREAT GRANDSON GRANT SUTTON:

Grant was born July 25 at 6:35 p.m.  His grandparents are our son Jim and his wife Jodie.  His parents are their daughter Ayla and her husband John.  We praise the Lord for this child.

PRAISE FOR: The monsoon rain that has extinguished most of our wild fires in Arizona. 

PRAISE FOR: Getting the  repair of  our AC system in the Community Christian Church up and operating again.

PRAISE: The sure Rx for fixing discouragement is The Lord Jesus, as He acts through our friends and loved ones-Thank you Lord for your love . 

PRAY FOR TODD: For some physical situations.  

PRAY FOR CHUM:   Chum had his last radiation yesterday.  He has been feeling the side effects, nausea, etc.  He starts Chemo next Tuesday.  We are both exhausted, mentally and physically.  It's so hard to see him not feeling well.  Hope he starts feeling better.  Prayers for continued healing and that the treatments work, and ALL the Glory will go to The Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!.
