HOME GOING CELEBRATION

Last Tuesday, Kathy and I had the honor of attending the Home Going Celebration of Jim MacKenzie. Jim is my cousin, but much more than that, he was a good  friend.

As we spoke to the many attending along with us, we learned that he was also a tried and true Christian, a Loving Husband (which we did know), a  great dad, and a grandfather, in the best of ways.

The story is told, that, it was later in life that Jim accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, Afterwards, he could never stop talking about this Love of his life. It is told that through Jim’s witness, many a soul will be in heaven- What a Christian legacy this man has left behind.

Jim MacKenzie- I will miss you!

Wednesday was the Coolidge “State of the City” Address.

Mayor Tom laid out the condition, and plans for Coolidge, the future of the city looks very encouraging.

SNOW COVERED MOUNTAINS!

 
We took the opportunity to view snow in the way we enjoy snow the most! We made a visit to the Saguaro National Park, just south and East of Tucson. As we Looked across the valley we saw the contrast of Cactus on the desert floor, contrasting upon the snow covered mountains, Beautiful!
 
The drive through the park was spectacular.--- The large saguaro  below is more than 40 feet tall.

We met at the Coolidge Chamber Office to support this new business, as Mayor Shope did the honors of cutting the ribbon. We wish this new business well!

BIG SNOW!

  

All the way from New Jersey (Picture #1) to upstate New York (Picture # 2)  this gigantic snow storm affected so many people.  Ahhh the days gone by when we lived in the North East, but for now we say…

 

I Love You Arizona! 

AMAZING GRACE!

 

JOHN 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

    

FIVE BEST SENTENCES

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for...another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

A BLESSED,

BUT CHALLENGING WEEK!

We made a number of visits this week,

with Thanks being given to the Lord for His Faithfulness.

COOLIDGE FLY IN!

 

We took the time  on Saturday morning to make our way out to the Coolidge airport, for an enjoyable early morning visit…seeing the number of airplanes come out of the sky, one after the other. From WWII veterans, Sea planes, Bi-planes, and miniatures, a great mixture, representing  local aviation in our area.

We must give credit to the Coolidge Lion’s club for a great breakfast of bacon, eggs, coffee and juice- Thanks to all involved. YUM!
