Men Prepare Sermons; God Prepares Men

2nd Timothy 2:15

"The proper place for a ship to be is in the water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will sink. The proper place for the church is in the world,

BUT IF THE 'WORLD' GETS INTO THE CHURCH,

THE CHURCH WILL GO DOWN IN DISGRACE!"

Thank you for taking the time to view our blog;we look forward to reading your comments. DVDs of our services are available upon request. We covet your prayers and friendship. In His Service and For His Glory, Pastor Bill & Kathy ...
"Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness...But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."-Joshua 24:14-15

Is God Calling You to be a Pastor?

The right kind of education is essential to the man who has answered God's call. No army dare send a soldier into battle without proper training. The results would be devastating, not only for the warrior, but for the war.

July 29 Our 2012 Vacation Cruise

Our 2012 Vacation Cruise to Alaska's Inside Passage

We started out on our trip from the Port of Seatle ...

... on the MS Westerdam with great expectation for adventure.  We were not disappointed.

We were blessed to be on the cruise with Dr. David Jeremiah with at least one church service per day.  We were blessed.  With 350 attenders worship and praise and time of fellowship.  Tim LaHaye was with us also and brought two morning devotions.

The scenery was breathtaking with snow capped mountains, evergreen trees, and the blue, blue ocean was a perfect contrast for beauty.

A visit to glacier bay was exciting to say the least.  With eagles, whales, sea otters, dolphins and seals.  A sight to behold.

The temperature ranged from the low to mid 40s.

The Indians in the area have used Totem Poles to hand down history from generation to generation.

We now have video files of our worship services posted to the Internet.

TEST THE SPIRITS

In a Tottenham church on Sunday morning a vicar said,
"Anyone with 'special needs' who wants to be prayed over, please come forward to the front by the altar."

With that, Leroy got in line, and when it was his turn, the Preacher asked,
"Leroy, what do you want me to pray about for you?"

Leroy replied, "Preacher, I need you to pray for help with my hearing."
The preacher put one of his fingers in Leroy's ear, then he took his other hand and placed it on top of Leroy's head; and then he prayed and prayed and eventually the whole congregation joined in with great enthusiasm.
Hearing
After a few minutes, the preacher removed his hands, stood back and asked, "Leroy, how is your hearing now?"Leroy answered, "I don't know. It ain't 'til Thursday."

Coolidge Chamber Meeting

102_5093   102_5092
As members of Coolidge Chamber of Commerce it is our privilege to gather for periodic updates on what is going on in our town.  At this meeting our police chief brought us up to date on some of the activities that are going on for crime control.  Things are getting much better.

OOOPS!!!

We had our first real encounter with a scorpion as Kathy had a sting to her finger.  No damage done, all is well, and the scorpion did not win!  But they are sneaky little critters.

A FOUTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

At Ponderosa Pines in the White Mountains

Here is Pastor Bill being about as athletic as he gets playing this really physical game of bean bag baseball.  (He didn’t win.)
102_5063   102_5067
Kathy did a little better.  You can see who the athletic one is in the family.  I really do believe that the cheerleading helped, but Kathy didn’t win either.  Sorry.
102_5079   102_5082
But really this is what we do best.  A POTLUCK!  YEA!!!  We had 95 that signed up for the potluck, but over 140 showed up!  We were lucky to have any food at all, but we managed.

Sunday Morning Church Service was truly a blessing as always.  As we witness the love for one another and the way we are all growing in fellowship together and in the Lord.

Truly, we are blessed.
Church05
Linda Noonan brought flowers in for the church and Diane is bring them over to the table.

We continue to study the Book of Revelation at the Sunday evening Bible Study and have a great time of fellowship as volunteers take turns hosting the study in their homes.  It’s not too late to join the Bible Study.  Come join us.  We meet at 6 p.m. on Sundays.  Watch the board for locations.

INDEPENDENCE WEEK

As we celebrate Independence Day this week let us consider truly what America is about—“Liberty and Justice for all”.
0804
We lift our voices in praise and song to right the deeds that we’ve done wrong; to wash the face of this land we love; to dry her eyes—and once more say, in Me alone you can find your way.  You can trust Me, you can trust My Word.  “Blessed is the Nation who’s God is the Lord.”
0610
Fine family fellowship after church.  We are blessed.
